Giood customer service - usually competitive on price

Never had to make a claim (touch wood), so can't comment on claims experience which is where it really counts with insurance companies. I have usually found the renewal cost competitive, staff very helpful and knowledgeable, however the initial price increase at renewal this year was significant and well above inflation - for no change in circumstances. A. All to customer services did bring the cost back down in-line with competitors. Reviewed on: 19th August 2025

Quick Response.

I have insured my boats through GJW for about 45 years. We had an accident in Brittany last year and GJW approved a £12,000 claim very quickly. Reviewed on: 19th August 2025

First claim in over a decade of boating.

I've been a GJW customer for many years, firstly with my narrowboat and currently with my sail boat. After many years of a clean record I recently had to make a claim due to running aground on a sand bar in the Netherlands. GJW were quick to sort my claim and everything seemed to go very smoothly. Marine Insurance Renewal

I have just renewed my marine insurance with GJW. The renewal costs came down which is quite an unusual phenomenom these days. They also sent me timely reminders, as my cover came up for renewal and the process of renewing online was simple and hassle free. Reviewed on: 19th August 2025

Premium and documentation
