Every South Manchester Credit Union member gets an Open Savings account. Deposits can be made anytime and withdrawals up to once a month. There’s also a Locked account where savings are pledged towards a loan.

Best place for starting a savings habit and sticking with it. This is my most trusted way of saving money - it's easy, effective and allows me to keep my money out of sight and out of mind to reduce temptation. It is easy to access when I need it for things like holidays but I want my savings to help the credit union so I get pride out of making very few withdrawals. Reviewed on: 4th July 2025

They have helped me over the years to improve my life.

They have helped me over the years to improve my life. It all started when I had nothing on very low income they help how to saveand be proud of my savings. They were there when I needed them.
