underhand business model

After years of putting up with sneaky charges appearing out of nowhere on their billing often hidden in the breakdown, The final straw was being informed in a random generic Email that they intend to put us on a risk based pricing plan completely out of the blue. Which basically meant they were going to charge an additional +20 pence per liter unless we were willing to place a bond in their keeping... They are deceptive and underhand in there business model which is built on the assumption most fleet users don't pay that close attention to what they're actually being charged and let that customer inertia reap in the profits for as long as possible before they get rumbled. On top of which they actively make it hard to end your contract by hiding the necessary contact information, and then fail to respond when you do manage to send the order to end their services leaving you guessing if they received that request or not.., If I could have given no stars I would have and am truly disappointed in myself for letting them get away with this for as long as they have before finally ending their service with our firm.. Allstar double charge our company, we've been with them for 3 months on credit builder account after 3 months switched to credit account and after that they charge from both credit builder account and credit account and account team can't see the problem!!!! SCAM Reviewed on: 8th September 2024

Risk Based Pricing Scam

Be warned Allstar will suddenly implement Risk Based Pricing onto your account and add a surplus amount to each litre of fuel purchased, out of the blue and without any justification, keep an eye on your statements. Who would go to the pump and willingly pay an extra 30pence per litre, this is theft under a corporate slogan, avoid. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2024

Called for a fuel card was offered a deal with 50% off for £2.50 a month but yet advertises £2.50 on there website! Not transparent at all and customer service agent wasn’t very explanatory and had to keep asking questions and then he would agree! Ended up leaving it and going direct with shell for £2.50 a month!! Worst experience I ever had!! Don't use them unless you like being ignored. I had my card with them and for 2 weeks all was fine. Until 1 morning while I was trying to pay for the fuel the card got rejected, thank god I had my wallet with me, otherwise I was going to make a fool of myself, I paid with my card end and tried to call them and ask what is the issue, no one answered and after 40min of waiting I gave up and sent them an email asking if my card is blocked or what is going on ......in the hopes that by the end of the day someone will come back to me for an explanation... well.... no answer at the end of that day....or the second day...or the third....or fourth....or fifth!!!!! A week later!!! The answer came with the most ODD reply I ever got stating " I can confirm your card is blocked" WITH NO INFO OF WHY THAT HAPPENED OR WHAT I NEED TO DO TO UNLOCK IT!!!!! So I replied back and asked for more details and what should I do to unlock it?! NO ANSWER WHAT SO EVER SINCE THEN!!! They really take the amp with someone's patience! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE/COMPANY EVER!! Steer clear from them if you love your sanity! Reviewed on: 13th September 2023
