I had Aviva Car insurance for 1 year and cannot complain. Lovely staff on the phone, they offered me a discount for my insurance. Would recommend. Reviewed on: 5th September 2024

Absolutely dreadful,stay clear at all costs

I had my car insured with Aviva for two years .It was hit while unoccupied and the driver drove off .They own Solus who the car went into to be repaired,five times it went in and each time it came back with more problems than it went in with ..Their repairs are guaranteed for three years ,all the problems that were caused by the accident ,airbag warning lights ,stop start ,sound system ,parking sensors have all come back again.I have been backwards and forwards with Aviva and Solus who are basically absolutely useless,they cause more problems than they fix and like Aviva their customer service is non existent .Solus are now saying because they fixed the problems ,but damaged my car again when it had to go back in on a tow truck ,it then had to go to Jeep as Solus could not repair the damage they had caused ,therefore the guarantee is not valid .If Solus had not damaged my car in the first place it would not have had to go to Jeep .Rang Aviva on 27/08/2025,who weren't interested but after much perseverance from myself they agreed to send an independent engineer out to look at my car ,no suprise I've heard nothing from them .Stay clear if you want an insurance company that owns and uses a garage that is competent ,trustworthy ,doesn't damage your car and can fix any problems .If you want nothing but stress,hassle,worry,being fobbed off then go with Aviva ,they won't disappoint in making everything impossible Reviewed on: 10th September 2025

Higher quality car insurance and free updating of data

Although car insurance premium prices are expensive the quality of the product is very good since they offer more protection and services than equivalent insurers. What's more, updating personal details is free -- no administration fee is charged -- which is very refreshing to see. Reviewed on: 8th September 2025

Second consecutive year of car insurance with Aviva

I'm in my second consecutive year of car insurance with Aviva as the renewal quote was competitive which was a nice surprise. I tried to get them to match other slightly lower quotes but they wouldn't. I still renewed with Aviva as the small saving by switching to another provider wasn't worth the admin time. A green car insurance policy that is good value

I got a significant difference in price and cover due to not doing many miles.. Their aero product is really good for drivers who only really do local mileage. Perfect for those people who are retired or who can walk cycle or use public transport to get to work. It also offsets carbon for the first 1000 miles. Might be zero by name but not in features

Started with my car on the no frills zero insurance and it gave me everything I wanted in a policy, so now have also put my campervan on the platform and saved a lot ,plus knowing that a big specialist insurance company is looking after you Reviewed on: 5th September 2025
