Loosing money

Why have an Aviva Stocks and Shares ISA?

I've managed to log into my Aviva Stocks and Shares ISA account this morning to see that the value has dropped dramatically. Why? Yes, I am very well aware of the recent turmoil in investments, but I cannot see any detail, any charts or anything to give me confidence that Aviva are managing my investment in these challenging times. Would not waste my money, current account would be worth more now.

My wife and I invested the majority of our savings several years ago with these people. Financial advisor recommended. Retired 2019 intending to take pension 2021 but, admittedly with Covid, hut investments lost money continuously and are still doing so. When millionaires are being made and existing getting to billionaires I wonder what this mult million pound business is really doing, apart from still charging fees and no doubt paying a huge pension to former staff and chief execs. My meagre cash isa is performing far better. Not beating inflation but at least more than invested. And don’t get me started about Aviva Reviewed on: 19th October 2022

AVIVA steals your money!

We have an Investment Bond which has lost thousands of pounds because of very poor investments by AVIVA. AVIVA say they do not give any financial advice but they do when you go to cash in all of the investment by saying, that the investor may lose out as the market goes up and down! Do not answer their phones!

Been trying to get through to the Pension fund, no one answers the phone ......... just a recorded message and music!!! Obviously need more staff - I haven't got hours / days to waste waiting for them to answer! Appalling Reviewed on: 14th July 2022

Lost money to online investment,

Lost money to online investment, really all I wanted to do was make a safe Cryptocurrency Online investment. To think I was sold the mirage of a wonderful investment with profits, worst part of it all I was being elaborately scammed. Geminihacks dot com got it back for me? Reviewed on: 2nd February 2021

Endowment £20k short & refusing to pay out policy

I had an endowment with Aviva which has finished with a £20k shortfall. Not only do Aviva not care about the shocking performance of their company but they are refusing to pay out the policy & have effectively stolen the money. Despite 4 complaints, a catalogue of phone calls & emails I have made no progress in 10 weeks. This company are a bunch of fraudsters & has the most incompetent & thickest bunch of people working in their customer services. It's impossible to speak to anybody in authority as they are all at home & don't call back as promised. A Company You Can Rely On

I now have multiple products with Aviva - home, car, pension & investment. The reason is that I have always found them to be reliable, obtainable, responsive, professional & competitive. When you contact them by phone, you can quickly get through to the right person who is also empowered to make decisions. The website is easy to navigate and all my policies are viewable under the one convenient MyAviva umbrella. Regarding my investment product, despite the market turmoil created by the pandemic, the value has held up very well. It reacts just as quickly to upward trends as the reverse. Aviva Pension

Spoke to Lee Johnstone to inform of my husband's passing and make a claim on his pension. Lee was so helpful and patient, considering I had to go off to find relevant documentation. I kept apologising and he was so reasurring and didn't mind holding. Really appreciate the dedication during this difficult situation the country is currently facing Reviewed on: 26th March 2020
