Monthly payment reduced

My monthly payment was £125 as i had an open case when i took the insurance. When i was found not at fault, i had my no claims discount back and Brightside reduced my premium to £112. Thanks Reviewed on: 25th March 2018

Over double the price of other insurer's

1
We had been with brightside/ecar for 7 years as they were always really competitive with their renewal price. This year their renewal quote was over double that of other insurer's so we went with another insurance company. They were brilliant when they were ecar but since changing to brightside they have been awful. Reviewed on: 21st March 2018

It's the first time I used Brightside really helpful, when I 'phoned to enquire about something, very good telephone manner Reviewed on: 8th March 2018

Value for money and no fuss

Felt it was an insurance company formed for the needs of the people Reviewed on: 4th February 2018

Very bad

Had insurance with brightside since August 2017. On friday ask for a quote for a potential new car and realized they canceled my insurance without me asking. If police stopped me that would be a very expensive mistake on their part. Avoid this company at all costs. Asked what can I do know and been told I have to pay £ 175.00 because off their mistake. Go straight to the Financial Ombudsman services. Very poor customer services. Reviewed on: 29th January 2018

Great Value and Service

I searched for the best value I could find and in the end saved around a third on my renewal, a couple of days after taking out the policy I received a phone call thanking me for my business and to make sure my policy met my needs. I was told the exact day payment would be taken from my bank and where all my documents could be downloaded from. I never received service like this from my previous ensurer Reviewed on: 3rd January 2018

Appalling

One Insurance Solution is part of Brightside. They let me down badly to the cost of approximately £1500 by claiming I was not covered. It turns out I was covered but now they are disputing they are liable for the recovery etc costs because of their telephone voice recordings not being clear. The investigation continues after about a month. I would not recommend Brightside as a consequence. Reviewed on: 3rd December 2017

Read the Terms and conditions

I never received notification of an "Auto renewal" But managed to cancel the policy within 3 days . Brightside still charged me over £70. When I refused to pay they passed the alleged debt to a collection agency within 14 days! I phoned to explain that I had 4 valid reasons as to why I was in the right and was told very rudely that I should have read their T&c's. Reviewed on: 28th November 2017

Be careful be very careful.

Brightside once called eCars, had bad publicity published in the Sun when called eCars check the papers archives, also once disclosed on Rip Off Britain and then changed their name to Brightside, ignore the reviews that have been sent in by people who have just taken out insurance, take notice of the ones that for whatever reason have further dealings with them they are the people to listen to, you will have a better chance of talking to the pope than speaking to someone on the phone, I’m giving you this advice free because they ripped me off ignore it at your peril. Honest Dave. Reviewed on: 24th October 2017
