By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

As an A to B driver, By Miles is great for me because it means I benefit from significantly cheaper car insurance. The app/website are incredibly easy to navigate and allow me to keep track on what my spend is for the month. There are no hidden costs and I’ve recommended By Miles to anyone who will listen to me! What an excellent way to insure your vehicle. Fair and transparent, with an easy to navigate app to keep a check on your monthly costs. Sure, this system won't suit or benefit every motorist, but it does suit me and anyone who drives low or below average miles should consider it. The app let's you know how much each journey costs and an email arrives before each monthly payment is taken, so no shocks or rip offs. J Limb Reviewed on: 3rd August 2019
