By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

If you don't drive loads ands loads of miles every year, get a quote from these guys. Use my referral link https://bymiles.co.uk/refer/JGZ7047 and we both get £50 worth of free miles. If you go ahead with the policy you get a small matchbox size device that plugs into the odb 2 port in the car and it tracks your miles. You pay a set amount per year for the car to be parked and then per mile via the app. Business insurance is included as is protected no claims. I highly recommend this company for many reasons but mainly for this.. The cost, if you are only using your car for small trips daily or just weekends then this insurance is a must for you! Honest Opinion on "By Miles"

I would recommend 'By Miles' to anyone. I bought the policy recently. Friendly customer service I spoke to them about confirming my understand of how the insurance works. You pay a fixed amount for the whole policy year which mine was approx £420 and you pay a fixed rate per mile which was approx 10- 11 pence for me. Once you paid the fixed amount. You don't have to pay anything else expect the number of miles you do in the month. For example for me I roughly do 50 miles a week. So monthly I have to pay [ 50 (miles) x 0.11 (Fixed rate per mile) =£5.50] So in a month my insurance is £22. if I do the above miles every week. if you have any questions they have a lovely chat service to respond to any questions you might have. The tracker they sent you is easy to set up. Just plug it in.
