By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

I have used By Miles for over a year and find it a great way to insure my car at a reasonable price. As an OAP I don't use my car as much as I used to. With this system I pay for the miles I use so it works out much more economical for me. Reviewed on: 15th August 2025

Ideal solution for those of us who don't drive that much. Good value insurance cover, you adapt it to meet your needs. I was pleased to see my costs reduce when I moved house.
