By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Great value for low mileage car insurance.

I switched to by miles as a low mileage driver and found it excellent value and last year as I did less miles than I estimated I received a refund on the premium paid. Reviewed on: 15th August 2025
