By Miles provide car insurance aimed at low mileage drivers.

By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

As someone who uses his car infrequently, I get the advantage of paying less for my insurance than a normal rate from a standard company, I'm charged for every mile I do, so if I do ten or twenty miles a week, I'm only charged for those miles, I'm not charged for my car sitting there unused. Extra millage and changes

The tracker is not tracking it correctly 90% of the time it adds additional to the route I have traveled i have sent screen shots which clearly show that at one minute I am in my town and 4 to 10 minutes later I am 70 to 80 miles away or vise versa. During MOT while the vehicle was on ramp the tracker tracked it to Northampton and in next half hour it showed back in Nottingham. I never was refunded for all those extra miles added neither the tracker problem was resolved. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

Best insurance by far

So far so good with by miles. The insurance was a lot cheaper and makes sense for me to pay the rest monthly as I don’t drive very often. My car was involved in a hit and run and by miles have been very helpful and are in the process of sorting things out for me. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

I was skeptical at first to transfer my car insurance never mind to a niche one. Insurance as it should be

Does what it says on the tin. I don't drive I don't pay. Days i don't have nowhere to go means insurance expenses is zero. And daily miles are capped at 150 miles ,meaning those long distance journeys are free after 150 miles. Since you have already paid to have your car insured when it's parked means you control how much you pay monthly. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022
