By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

The Easiest and most Friendly Insurance Provider!

As someone who does not drive a lot but still needs insurance, By Miles are the best insurers for me! Their pricing for my policy was so much cheaper than the next cheapest provider and the monthly payment method of a few pounds is really great for the wallet. I also had to pleasure of speaking to someone in customer services recently and she was the kindest, most down to earth customer service advisor I’ve ever come across. She was honest about the companies renewal quote strategy and completely understanding if I chose to leave due to being out priced by another provider (which luckily didn’t happen and by far!) I’d recommend this company to anyone and suggest everyone starts paying for the miles they use, not those they don’t. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

Great for short distance drivers!

I used by miles for the first time as I knew I wouldn't be driving that much as I live in a city - it's perfect for me and is really easy to set up. I like being able to see my journeys and it's useful for working out fuel costs when I do longer road trips with friends. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022
