By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Absolute lifesaver for me

By Miles allowed me to keep my car "on standby", even though I only use it once or twice a week. My insurance costs are now about a quarter of what I was being quoted for renewal under my old insurers. I'm sure they'd still be cheaper even if I was driving more often. Reasonable priced for mileage and added feature with OBD scanner to see fault codes means no matter how much you drive is fairly priced. I have recommended to friends and family. Definitely would get my next policy again with Bymiles. Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

Like a lot of people, my driving habits have changed since the pandemic. I work from home so I don’t drive much, so By Miles was by far the most cost effective option for me. I really like how easy the app is to use and understand too, and the referral scheme is very generous.
