Don’t even hesitate, just switch and save money! I felt a bit skeptical when I first came across this insurance company, as paying by mileage wasn’t something I had heard of before. However, I felt like I had to give it a go as a lot of the time my car isn’t used and I felt like I was throwing money away with other providers! After using By Miles for a couple of months, I can honestly say I am over the moon. My insurance costs have halved, with some months being as little as £15 instead of the £55 I was paying with previous providers! I love being able to go onto the app and check how many miles I’ve done and it’s also amazing how it caps the mileage for those days where you drive a bit further afield (eg a beach trip) so you never end up paying for more than 150 miles in one day! Perfect!! The app is also fantastic for me to calculate how much petrol I need to charge clients for travelling to jobs and helps me keep an eye on how much I’m actually using my car. The little mile reader was easy to install and I haven’t had any issues with it. I even spoke to customer services when it first arrived for a bit of guidance before installing and they were very friendly and helpful. No rip-offs, simply pay as you use

For years I have been with traditional insurers who take into consideration an estimated mileage that the car will do and come up with insurance quote. However, with change in my situation I've been driving quite less than before Covid times. Signed up with ByMiles and quite happy with the process of obtaining quote to using the app to track my mileage and costs, make any changes to my policy (added my spouse in without an amendment charge) - all very easy to use and straight forward. Pay for what you drive.

This should be the future of the insurance. pay only for how much you drive what could have been better. Specially, in current situation this is best suited for most people working from home who would end up paying large sum even if the car is parked 80% of time.
