My wife and I have been members for around 45 years and have used both sites and Red Pennant, on many occasiions.

We started caravanning in Britain, when the youngest of our 3 chidren wa 6 years old. We stayed at a CL at Great Snoring and thoroughly enjoyed it. When our youngest was 10, we did our first trip abroad to the Salzkammergut in Austria. Red Pennant Insurance was always comforting, but it was some years later that we were obliged to use it. Best no fuss, no quibble insurance

This year I was unfortunate enough to go down a pothole when a car came around a corner in the centre of the road which made me pull over as far as I could to avoid a collision, in doing this I was unable to miss a large pothole, lucky enough I was only a few hundred yards from the touring site I was going to. On arrival at the site I had a chance to inspect my van, I had damaged my nearside tyre and wheel, when I had unhitched my van I found that the fridge had moved causing it to tilt outwards, upon closer inspection I found that the wall that joined the worktop where the fridge was all of the L shape wall fixings from top to bottom had broken. When I arrived home after having my holiday I contacted the Caravan and Motorhome insurance who were very understanding and helpful I had to go and get some quotes, on receiving these the insurance company arranged for an assessor to come and inspect the caravan, he told me I had damaged the suspension and all of the inner structure of the wall above this was badly damaged, my caravan was a write off and could not be put on the road again. He then told me how much the insurance would pay me of which we both agreed, one week later I received a cheque just in time to purchase a new van before my next holiday 2 weeks later. Dependable caravan insurance

We insure our caravan with the Caravan and Motorhome club and have done so many years now. I have no hesitation in recommending them for caravan insurance. We recently upgraded from an old caravan which we have for around eight years to a brand new caravan earlier this year.
