Great but slightly disappointed on a claim

I unfortunately had a bump when I pulled out on another vehicle. Dash cam footage showed the other vehicle doing 27mph in a 30mph zone but when I pointed this out to the insurer, I was told speed is not considered a factor! I appreciate this is an insurance matter but I take every opportunity to highlight this crazy comment. At what speed is it considered? If an accident on a motorway, this would equate to 94mph not being relevant!. Caravan guard themselves are courteous, helpful (most of the time) but couldn’t they exert their influence on the insurers? Reviewed on: 21st July 2025
