Car Finance 247 sold me a death trap and charged me...

Car Finance 247 sold me a death trap and charged me a fortune for the privilege. That is not an exaggeration, it is exactly what happened. I was told I could only buy the car as shown on the app, and I trusted that this company actually vetted the dealers it puts customers in front of. That trust was completely misplaced. On top of everything else, they charged me roughly three times what this car is actually worth on the open market, a wildly inflated price for a vehicle that turned out to be a rotted wreck. Less than three weeks later the exhaust pipe fell off while I was driving. A garage put it on a ramp and what they found was horrifying: the entire underside rotted out. Exhaust rusted straight through, both boxes gone. The subframe and structural underbody panels are so corroded there is a hole in one of them. Rusted suspension, perished bushings, a split CV boot. This car should never have been on the road, let alone sold to a paying customer as if it were fine. I have already been forced to spend £481.32 just to make it driveable, and the bill is still climbing, a bill on top of a purchase price that was already triple the market value. This is not a minor fault or bad luck, this is a company charging inflated prices for unroadworthy, dangerous vehicles and washing their hands of it. Whatever "vetting" Car Finance 247 claims to do is clearly worthless, and I dread to think what could have happened if that corrosion had failed at speed with my family in the car. Do NOT use Car Finance 247. Do not trust their app, do not trust their dealers. They overcharged me massively and put me in a rusted, unsafe wreck. I would like to Thank Chris and Xamian from the customer care team. I have had a terrible experience with the dealer where I purchased my landrover it has been rejected for failed repairs the garage has been a nightmare saying they were coming to pick car up then not coresponding with me at all Chris has been my rock as he has sorted this stressful situation out for me and arranged to get car picked up and get my finance agreement unwound, much appreciated to Chris for making this happen highly recommend the 247 Team for everything they have done for me Thanks Guys cheers Ray Murray Reviewed on: 5th June 2026

Serious concerns about quality checks and warranty sale

I arranged a car through Car Finance 24/7 and it turned into a very costly experience. Key points: The vehicle failed with serious engine damage after 18 months The warranty was acknowledged by Car Finance 24/7 as having been mis-sold to me The warranty provided no meaningful protection when I needed it I was left with the financial consequences While they position themselves as a broker, they are the link between: You The dealer The finance company In my case, that chain failed. End result: No car Significant financial loss A lot of stress and time wasted I would strongly advise anyone using them to: Read everything carefully Question the warranty in detail Be prepared to deal with problems alone if something goes wrong Reviewed on: 25th April 2026

I have had to contact Car Finance 247 twice a week to request updates, yet we are still no further forward. It feels as though they have little interest in helping customers once their commission has been paid by the finance company. I purchased a Jaguar F-Pace on 22/11/25 through Car Finance 247. On the same day I got the car home, a low-coolant warning appeared, and the following day I discovered a leak. A local garage confirmed the fault and carried out the repair, leaving me without the vehicle for a week. Only two days later, the rear brakes began binding. I was quoted over £2,000 for repairs. The dealership said they would arrange a cheaper repair locally but never followed through. Shortly afterwards, further issues arose, including a low-oil warning and electric windows that stopped working. I exercised my right to reject the car on 07/12/25. After significant delays, it was finally collected on 10/01/26. It is now February, and they have still not reimbursed the finance company, refunded my repair costs, or returned the £4,900 I paid to settle the finance on my part-exchange. The dealership have informed the finance company that the engine is beyond repair and are attempting to place the blame on me. However, the same car is currently being advertised for sale on their website, which is extremely concerning and disappointing. After contacting the dealership via AutoTrader, they confirmed the car is ready to go and has no faults. I believe they are deliberately delaying repayment to both the finance company and myself. I applied for van finance on 27/07, and initially everything proceeded without any issues. The finance was approved, and I subsequently found a suitable vehicle. After discussing the vehicle with the dealer, I was informed that it has a minor issue. I immediately notified the broker on 247 car finances. The advisor handling my application assured me that this would not be a problem, stating clearly that I would be covered by their warranty and that I was fully protected.I asked them several times if everything was ok to make sure I would get the van because I desperately needed a van for my new job. I ve been told everything is OK I set a day to go collect the van and when I was on the way to collect it the dealer told me that 24.7 had canceled the financing WITHOUT ANY NOTICE ..I call the guy from 247 who handled my case and who knew absolutely everything about the situation and started to absolve himself of guilt which is disgusting.Also, the 24/7 customer service is very disappointing. Every time I called them to talk about my file, they told me that someone would call me back, which never happened. Reviewed on: 16th January 2026

Do not use Car247? Avoid them and stay well away.

The experience from Car247 is something that never go through again. Car247 work with inadequate dealers selling cars that in a poor state. My car wouldn't drive without problems. Handed back to dealer then the dealer agreed with car247 that the car was in good condition. I'm left now with no car which need for my job. Avoid these companies. SCAMMERS AVOID THIS COMPANY do not sign anything with this people I had problems with my veicle and gareth whalley who sold me Warrantywise plan he disappeared AFTER BEEN ARROGANT WITH ME and warranty not pay for repair I had to deal with garage where I bought the car 247 customer service not helping me incredible how this company still trading someone should stop them.... Anyway is more then 1 month I don't have the car is getting fix I should pay the loan and don't have the vehicle nobody from 247 replied to my emails I'm desperate and frustrated DO NOT USE 247 VERY DISAPPOINTED Reviewed on: 27th June 2024
