Been using for six years. The auto saving has helped me build my 'rainy day fund' without really thinking. I find I can always access my money quickly, when I need it. Plus The investment section is also great and removes a mental barrier to starting investing, plus it has a great range of options to choose from based on your risk appetite. No idea what they are doing.

Chip seems to have lost its way massively. A company originally to help low earners begin their savings journey by ‘chipping in’ small amounts, now is seemingly desperate to appeal to people with huge assets, people who would have very little need to move to this company that communicates poorly, doesn’t bother to tell you when their interest rates go down, and is desperate for you to pay each month for no real advantage. I stuck with chip for far too long, a good bit of sunk-cost fallacy there, but when I finally had the chance to take a proper look at their competitors, the choice was simple. Stay with a company that has no interest in keeping me as a customer, or move elsewhere and actually make my money work. Reviewed on: 22nd April 2025
