Collingwood provide insurance for learner drivers, taxi drivers and couriers.

New driver cover is only available to existing Collingwood learner driver customers after passing the practical driving test. Taxi insurance can be for annual or short-term cover and courier insurance cover is for food and parcel delivery drivers.

Brilliant Customer Service and Everything You Need In A Policy!

As a new driver, your first car is a very exciting and special experience. The customer advisor which I spoke to at Collingwood, over the phone, seemed to understand this and was very polite, friendly and extremely helpful. I had no experience with insurance policies, prior to my experience with Collingwood and, I must say, if every experience with an insurance company was similar to the outstanding and positive experience I had with Collingwood, then the reputation of insurance companies would sky rocket and the insurance industry would not have such a daunting and scary reputation, particularly with new drivers, like myself. Thank you so much to Collingwood Insurance, who made the experience of getting a first car all the more special, memorable and happy. I truly felt like I was being looked after and my best interests were being considered, in regards to getting the right policy, both now and later after I have passed my test (fingers crossed!). Easy to arrange short term insurance

BEWARE

I took this learner driver insurance out in my son's name so he could learn to drive. I cancelled it after 8 months as he had passed his test. They charge a £40 cancellation fee. They have threatened to pass it to their collections department if i don't pay and have warned me "this can seriously affect my credit score and therefore your ability to apply for credit in the future". The charge is hidden in the t&cs, which I agreed to and therefore I have no choice but to pay it. If they wish to do business is this vile way they should make it more transparent when taking out the policy. Reviewed on: 24th September 2023

Excellent service & value

I've been recommending Collingwood to my pupils for at least 10 years (I'm sure it is a bit longer) They are always happy with the great value they get and the flexibility, and this helps many of my pupils to become confident safe drivers as they can get all that extra practice in.
