Coverwise have a good range of value for money policies

Coverwise have a great range of travel insurance policies which are suited to my budget. The descriptions of what is included is very clear, making it easy to select a policy that is the most relevant for my needs. Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

They are cheap for a reason - they don’t pay out and won’t help. poor service and not understanding at all. Tried to claim due to Heathrow fire, I had purchased excursions, that I could get to, as my flight was cancelled. Despite clearly saying covered pre-paid costs were covered in my insurance when trying to claim, it wasn’t covered, there are only 3 specific reasons when cancellation cover is valid. An airport closing is not one of them - but it is not in their exclusions, so should be covered. Had a very rude service representative on my first call, he out the phone down on me, such poor customer service!!! Will not be using again, and advise people not to make the same mistake as me. have used Coverwise many times for travel insurance...

have used Coverwise many times for travel insurance and whilst the prices are good there is a reason. Wo betide you if you make a claim! I claimed on 9/10/24. They will do all they can to delay a resolution and make it extremely difficult all along the way. Constantly ignoring information, requesting multiple times the same information. Taking ages to respond and have the nerve to blame it on high volumes of claims!!! Oh so that makes it ok does it. You pay. You claim but don’t expect a payout as we will wear you down eventually so you give up! Speak to us? No chance, put through to a heavily accented USA citizen who insists you are at fault! Was told by Bernard at AXA that even though I hadn’t been to see my doctor since 2012 before this incident I MUST provide 2 years past history!!! He was like a cracked record repeating this and would not listen when I explained how could I? I downloaded and sent the information from an active NHS account from the portal. It is clearly stated it will be accepted. The documentation sent frm the NHS portal shows quite clearly that i had not had any medical needs since 2012 until 2024!!! Easy and reassuring

Absolute joke of a company

Ended up in hospital in Tenerife, was able to make our flight with a 'Fit to fly' from Doctor. We paid our expenses and started our travel insurance claim through AXA ...30 days and still no further, they keep saying they have not received any information from us, yet we have sent out everything they have asked for countless times. Both Coverwise & AXA are diabolical, we just can't understand where we are going wrong with them! Reviewed on: 9th November 2022
