    Woeful communication

    We had a face to face to alert DBS to our new current account bank as recipient of interest plus full amount of a 1... We had a face to face to alert DBS to our new current account bank as recipient of interest plus full amount of a 1 yr bond. We have been DBS members for over 30 years but as pensioners we needed to optimise interest on bonds hence are reinvesting elsewhere. We were told that we could process a CHAPS payment at the counter once the bond matured. When we arrived a) there was confusion about this b) our interest had been transferred to our old current account. Staff unravelled it but it was a very upsetting lengthy avoidable experience.
