I didn't even bother looking for new quotes for my car insurance this year, I decided to stay with Diamond because of their customer service. It's so easy to access your documents online, and if you do need to speak to a customer service officer on the phone, the wait time is minimal and they are very helpful.

I have to say that the experience with Diamond was a very poor one. My car was bumped by a 3rd party. I had picture evidence from a witness and a statement from the police of them accepting liability.

From registering the claim there has been nothing but hassle and their customer service whilst nice over the phone their care certainly didn't have any substance. I was constantly told that I would be called back to queries but in the end always had to chase.

The body work was fixed but there was another issue with the car which I had to get proof. I did but was still told that they wouldn't be pursuing. The file was closed several weeks prior to this conclusion meaning they had no intention of pursuing. In the end they said they would pay half towards the repair because the issue got worse (strung along for 3 months from the accident).

I am now having to recover my excess through diamond law which will cost me too. All in all I have been put out of pocket by £500 and around 3 days worth of time chasing them for an accident that wasn't my fault.

Even with all the proof of the accident and proof of internal damage they still strung me along. I certainly would avoid using. Whilst they are the cheapest I can see why.
