Simple investing platform for beginners

As someone new to investing, this app has been a great way to learn the basics of investing in shares and funds at low cost. Their ISA has allowed me to use tax friendly methods to make my savings work for me. Its still in its infancy compared to the legacy platforms but offers lower costs and a simplified interface. Its not 100% comprehensive from a feature or stocks listing perspective, but this can be well complement through other services like yahoo finance, and new features are being added all the time. Excellent straight forward investing.

I wanted to try my hand at investing in stocks and looked around for good value platform. It wasn't long before I came across Freetrade. The reviews were positive and the app looked great. The welcome offer of a free stock was also a nice touch, along with the referral programme. Overall, it was an excellent platform, far better than traditional ingesting platforms at brick and mortar banks. Unfortunately I wasn't good at investing, but still Freetrade was a great company to try my hand at it with. Reviewed on: 1st February 2022
