Good value cover for pre existing conditions.

I’ve used Holidaysafe Insurance for all my holidays since finishing treatment for cancer in Summer 24. The company was recommended by fellow cancer patients as being one that would offer travel insurance to cancer patients at a reasonable price. Cover for myself and husband in Europe has been less than £100- hundreds of pounds less than my previous insurers. We’ve even been covered to places outside GHIC zone such as Dubai and Turkey for reasonable costs. I now recommend Holidaysafe to all my friends. I have 2 niggles however. Some of the questions around advanced cancers are incredibly technical and even my Clinical Nurse, with access to my medical history, has struggled with them. This means that sometimes I’m worried that I may have omitted something that might invalidate my insurance. The drop-down box options to answer questions also needs to be changed/ improved so that customers can elaborate on their situation rather than pick an answer which doesn’t really “fit”. Have been with Holidaysafe for a number of years and have always found their policies to be competitively priced. I recently had to make a claim for medical expenses after becoming ill on an overseas trip. My claim was dealt with promptly and settled in full. Reviewed on: 11th September 2025
