Cancelled trip refunded in full

I had to cancel a holiday last Xmas due to illness and had to claim on my Holidaysafe insurance. After many years of travel, I have been very fortunate not to have ever had the need to claim on the past so far as a bit unsure of the process. The advisor at Holidaysafe talked me through what information was needed from me to initiate the claim and he made it relatively easy. Apart from having to pay the doctor to sign and stamp the declaration everything else was straightforward. I had to wait approximately two months for the company to carry out the checks needed to verify my details but as soon as these were completed I was refunded within a couple of days. Due to a family illness I gave not been able to travel this year so did not renew my policy but when the situation changes I will definitely use Holidaysafe again. Reviewed on: 10th July 2025
