Cancellation 'Administration' charges horrendous!

We cancelled the renewed policy just out of the cooling off period as we sold the house We paid just over £20 p/m (1 payment... We cancelled the renewed policy just out of the cooling off period as we sold the house We paid just over £20 p/m (1 payment made) on an empty house awaiting sale process.. We have now been told that we are being charged £90 in cancellation 'fees' for administration cost! 4 1/2 months premium to put a tick in the box!!! What a ridiculous charge! One, maybe two months for an early cancellation - not 4 1/2!!! Insurance was handy, but getting out of it very costly - will not be coming back. Read more Read less

We have been with Home protect for years and always delighted. They make renewal easy. I have an home office and they have been helpful to include in policy.

    I have been with Home Protect for a while now and have found them to be very helpful and the correspondences I receive from them... I have been with Home Protect for a while now and have found them to be very helpful and the correspondences I receive from them are always clear and easy to follow and usually very informative. I recently renewed my annual policy with them and discovered that my premium had in fact decreased in price! Great News for me! and a rare thing in the current economic climate, so Well Done! to the people at HP I know I'm counting every penny and every little helps as they say. Read more Read less
