AVOID - no actual protection offered

I contacted the emergency protect line at 18:20 as the entire 120 litres of water in my hot water cylinder was streaming through the ceiling.... I contacted the emergency protect line at 18:20 as the entire 120 litres of water in my hot water cylinder was streaming through the ceiling. An appointment was made with an ‘emergency’ plumber for between 13 hours and 18 hours later. This company had no regard for the structural damage that would be caused by the water flooding through for this length of time or the safety risk posed by the water getting into the electrics. I therefore had to get, and pay for, my own plumber to come out and drain the tank. Disgraceful. Read more Read less

Poor previous experience

Previous experience nearly 2 years ago shows that I got water leak repair satisfactorily repaired far quicker and cheaper organising it myself rather than through Homeprotect

    My policy expired but fixed with a great chat line

    My policy expired (due to a changed credit card)and the day I received an email notification I went on line to add a new card... My policy expired (due to a changed credit card)and the day I received an email notification I went on line to add a new card and pay the new premium, the site refused to issue a new policy.     Whilst the price last year was excellent this year the price has increased three times inflation rate which is disappointing .
