Cancellation 'Administration' charges horrendous!

We cancelled the renewed policy just out of the cooling off period as we sold the house We paid just over £20 p/m (1 payment... We cancelled the renewed policy just out of the cooling off period as we sold the house We paid just over £20 p/m (1 payment made) on an empty house awaiting sale process.. We have now been told that we are being charged £90 in cancellation 'fees' for administration cost! 4 1/2 months premium to put a tick in the box!!! What a ridiculous charge! One, maybe two months for an early cancellation - not 4 1/2!!! Insurance was handy, but getting out of it very costly - will not be coming back. Read more Read less

    Renewed policy. Straightforward premium, terms, conditions all clearly defined. Premium was reasonably competitive. Have not made any claims so have not tested their claims processes...
