The worst credit card company I have ever dealt with

1
Since having my credit card moved from the Post Office to JAJA I have had nothing but problems. Set up a Direct Debit and then had one month no money taken and charged a late payment fee, credit with £740 which was not mine, used the wrong exchange rate on a transaction, blocked my card for no apparent reason and failed to tell me which caused some embarrassment at the petrol station and blocked access to my account. Phoned several times to customer services, which is a joke, has they offer to phone back and never do. For your sanity please do not use this company. Reviewed on: 10th April 2021

A disgrace

1
Swapped over from Post Office (which were great) and had nothing but trouble since. They owed me £300 for 5 months. I've eventually got it back so will close this account immediately before they have an opportunity to mess it up again. To close the account you are supposed to call customer services- I won't be wasting another hour of my life on the phone just for the whole conversation to be ignored.. Letter to them will be sent so there's a record! Would not recommend this company ever. Terrible service. Reviewed on: 3rd April 2021

High monthly interest rate

1
High monthly calculated interest rate with poor details provided on statement. Electronic transfers don't work. Reviewed on: 2nd April 2021

This company is so bad it could be a joke

1
First card got eaten by the ATM. Second card has not been recognised by the App that still shows the old card. Spent a lot of time on the phone with customer services over a few sessions. Eventually we agreed they would start again with a new card and pin. Non of it ever arrived and that was months ago. I have now given up with them. Reviewed on: 6th March 2021

How does Jaja work? It's a joke.

2 complaints 1) I asked for a simple task - to remove a name from my account - and was told this had been done. 4 months later I found the name was still there. 2) I asked for a replacement card and told it would arrive in 7 days. One month later and it never arrived. The agent could see that nothing had been actioned and apologised profusely. Not her fault. Reviewed on: 4th March 2021

I apid my bill and cancelled card Weeks later I get a demand for hte full amountplus £25 in fines andlate fees etc.

The service is lousy. I could not set up the card in my bank's payments. The bank blocked access to my account for ten days. This happened twice. My bank stopped paying SO for water and tax. DEspite paying in full I later received a demand from JAJA for the full amount plus £25 in fines and fees etc, I complained and am being ignored. I am considering going to Action Fraud. The Worst

1
Previously with Post Office. New card arrived could not get App to work or card activated, after three attempts with customer service they suggested I activate the card by using it with the pin. Did this spent about £20 still could not get App to work. Bill arrived paid the total amount and cut the card. Three weeks later Jaja pay the money back into my account. Now being chased for non payment and various other charges. Spoken to customer services three times and each occasion am assured it has now been cancelled but still the bills get larger and keep turning up. These people have not got a clue Reviewed on: 28th February 2021

Absolute rubbish - steer clear of this company!!!!!

1
If I could I would rate them a big fat zero!!! I used to be a Post Office credit card holder until they were taken over by this incompetent bunch! I received a letter informing me of a late payment fee that will be added to my account........incorrect! I made my monthly payment on time as usual but without any explanation this was returned to me. I then made a further payment to be sure I wasn't charged for late fees etc. I tried to ring customer services to sort this out but apparently I failed the verification/security questions so my account was locked. I was told a 'specialist' team would call me back within 48 hours ref verification but surprise surprise not forthcoming!!! I ended up having to call them back yet again and be subjected to a 'grilling' to verify my identity before being 'allowed' to speak to customer services. To be expected, customer services had nobody available to speak to me so I requested another call back - no call back was received, resulting in me telephoning them yet again and spending another 30 mins on hold before a 'manager' finally made themselves available to speak to me. The 'manager' looked into my account and low and behold, the late payment fee was charged to my account incorrectly and has now been refunded. It would appear that JaJa make a habit of charging people late payment fees incorrectly! I would steer well clear of JaJa!!!! Reviewed on: 23rd February 2021

Avoid this company at all costs

I really wanted to give this company a 'zero' rating but that was not possible, anyway as per most of the other reviewees, I too was a Post Office credit card holder whose account was moved to JaJa. What a shambles, they lost a payment, hit me with late payment and interest charges which only resulted because they had lost my payment (I always settle my full balance on time). Impossible to get to speak to a real person and when I did they were offhand. Has taken months to finally sort out the mess. I will now be closing my account. Reviewed on: 22nd February 2021

Could never get accessto mystatement

1
Was moved to JaJa through having a card with the Post Office. It was a great card before it was taken over. In the months since I have never been able to use the website or the app making it impossible to manage my finances. The only way I can get information is by phoning up. The staff are polite enough but it is a time consuming exercise every time. I have asked them to close my account now so hoping this actually happens! Reviewed on: 21st February 2021
