Review of the Just Travel Cover, Travel insurance:

Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Great service, great price

I have been using Just Travel for over 15 years as they provide the right cover at a great cost for me and my family. My daughter has a number of health issues and Just Travel have been able to provide the right level of insurance to give peace of mind when travelling abroad. It's easy and very clear as to what cover your insurance would give you, with full details of the costs and excesses so you can work out the best and most economical policy for your requirements. Getting travel insurance cover with medical condition was so difficult until I discovered 'Just Travel'. The online process was so simple and straightforward and gave such competitive quotes at reasonable prices that it beats other service providers. Reviewed on: 16th October 2025

Would highly recommend

I have used Just Travel Cover several times in the past 2 years as I was on an NHS waiting list and could not get cover through other providers.
