Review of the Just Travel Cover, Travel insurance:

Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Great insurer

It’s very daunting for some people when ringing up for travel insurance. Being asked questions about current or previous health conditions can be traumatic and a reminder of hard times they have been through. I found all the staff I’ve spoken to over the last few years I’ve used just travel all very professional and friendly. When I first had to get travel insurance lots of companies wouldn’t insure me as I was waiting on genetic results. I was put on to just travel and they insured me without any problem knowing I was waiting for results.. their prices are very reasonable too. I buy annual European cover but may go to Australia which I can just ring up and add that at an extra cost anytime…pretty straightforward.. Reviewed on: 21st July 2023

At my age not ensuring a good insurance cover at a fair price is essential.

My daughter has lived on a Greek Island for over 20 years, got a job with an English Holiday Villa Company and now works for their Greek division. A couple of trips a year and a Sunday night chat on the internet is how we now enjoy the company. Since finding Just Travel I can relax and enjoy the company of Greek people.. Note . I believe I know the person that cost £30,000 to bring home. He was on a cruise, fell and broke a hip, was operate on in hospital and was flown home with wife and nursing attendants.
