Trying to get hold of someone is a nightmare, to then be told my claim was not paid all round bad experience Reviewed on: 14th October 2024

Cheap but the customer service is really bad

My dog was taken ill one weekend and when I called to discuss making a claim (after the event), they told me it was my responsibility to fully assess whether to make a claim or not but refused to give me any indication as to future premium increases if I did claim. Even something as basic as "typically, making any sort of claim will see your premioum increase by around 10% in future years" would have been fine for me but they couldn't even manage that. Wouldn't recommend but there's not many decent insurers out there so I feel kind of stuck! Reviewed on: 14th October 2024

Initially great but beware of claiming

My dog fractured her pelvis and required 5 days care and pain relief for several weeks, costing c£2.5k. I had been paying £40 a month for 3 years, for £8k of cover. There was no problem making the claim, was paid quickly and was not contested. But as the renewal came at the end of the year, my new monthly ‘lifetime cover’ had more than doubled to £90 per month for the same amount of cover. Therefore forcing me to drop the amount of cover. I now get 3k worth of cover for £45 per month.. they take advantage of loyalty. Reviewed on: 15th August 2019
