Excellent service

Mortgage management.

We have had a mortgage with The Loughborough for 25 years. The current fixed rate period of our mortgage had come to an end and they contacted us to arrange a new discounted product. Excellent support with a complex mortgage application

I had a very positive experience with Loughborough Building Society during what was not the most straightforward mortgage application. My circumstances were more complex than a standard high-street application, but the team took a sensible and human approach rather than treating everything as a tick-box exercise. Communication was clear throughout, and when I had questions around completion, first payment dates and the mortgage account setup, the responses were helpful and timely. The mortgage completed successfully, the welcome information was clear, and the first payment details were confirmed quickly after completion. I also appreciated that they worked well alongside my broker and solicitor to get everything over the line. Overall, I found Loughborough professional, responsive and reassuring. I would recommend them, especially where a borrower needs a lender that is prepared to properly understand the case rather than just rely on automated scoring. Reviewed on: 19th August 2026
