Four pets insured and very happy with service

Added a fourth pet to my policy and had to ring to receive multi pet discount. Excellent service from advisor and very happy with the cover offered for the price. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Waste of Money, Use Animal Friends

Called.to check on a claim made for my dog, for a lump biopsy, Lv rejected the claim because he had a lump on his back in 2023 that turned out to be a spot, and a lump in 2017 which disappeared and didn't make him sick in any way, so 2 completely benign and unrelated lumps from years previously, this lump resulted in him being PTS last Saturday, so was a new and serious symptom, paying my insurance was pointless, because we couldn't have afforded the 3k for surgery and we now know Lv would have refused to pay it Reviewed on: 13th September 2025

I have my four cats insured with LV.

I have my four cats insured with LV and have had to make a number of claims. One of my cats has an ongoing condition and LV has been very supportive. All my claims have been paid without a problem, even one that occurred only a couple of weeks after I had changed my cats insurance over to LV. I was paid out with any problems. I think that LV's premiums are more competitve than other companies and you get more cover for your money. The previous insurance company that I used for one my cats could not match LV's value for money. The claims system is simple and they will pay either me or my vet direct. My vet must have a similar opinion as when I was worried about the cost of my cat's treatment and she told me not to worry as I had chosen one of the best pet insurance companies to deal with. Other insurance companies would have to offer me a lot more in terms of premium costs and cover before I would ever consider moving elsewhere. Reviewed on: 5th September 2025

Blanked 3 times.

3 times I have tried to claim for condition dog never had when ins taken out & every time turned down terms & conditions this terms & conditions that have had plenty of my money over the years & when I needed help left in the poo. So cancelled policy would not recommend . Reviewed on: 11th May 2025

Excellent service

We had only been insured with LV for just over two months when our dog became seriously ill with kidney problems. Unfortunately after emergency treatment she did not get any better and we had to let her go. LV paid our claim swiftly without any hassle. We will definitely use them again and would also recommend them to others. Reviewed on: 21st February 2025

Best Cover available currently at an excellent price

i have three pets insured with LV. The cover provided is very comprehensive and best value around currently. Any claims I have made have been processed without any quibble and paid out within 7-10 days Reviewed on: 22nd August 2024
