A Regular Savings Account is opened automatically when you join Manchester Credit Union. Savings must be made on a regular basis, either weekly, fortnightly or monthly and withdrawals can be made via the App or Members Area.

Great experience too notch

I have been using Manchester credit union for almost 2 years now and I have never had any issue with my savings or withdrawal. It helps me to keep my savings separate from my usual account. Sometimes I almost forgot i have money somewhere which is great for me as it helps me keep save up for my future goal. I haven’t had issue warranting a call to the customer service but I am sure they are available when needed. Overall great experience so far Reviewed on: 11th April 2026

This my safety net.

I have been a customer for some years now and have had loans when needed with no problems. They have always been helpful to me. I have two accounts one for emergency and one for as and when needed. I think all people on low income should invest if only a couple a pound week or months to build an emergency fund. Reviewed on: 11th April 2026

Saving in this way really works for me. The funds come directly from my salary before they come to so I don’t really notice it. It makes December a much easier month for me when I take my annual withdrawal to soften the blog the festive season.
