Avoid these lying losers

On only my second transaction, they somehow "lost" nearly 500 euros I was transferred. Monese tell me they have not received the funds, but the sender's bank says they traced the transfer and got a message confirming funds had been received and deposited in the payee's account. I have to assume Monese put my funds in someone else's account and can't now be bothered to find them. They keep saying the money, if it existed, would be returned to the sender within 2 weeks - it's been THREE MONTHS now. Customer service is dismal, days and days talking to a chatbot before someone in Estonia finally answers, unhelpfully. In my case trying Monese was a mistake - a very expensive mistake! Swapped from Barclays as the app is very outdated, and Barclays charge if I use my card in the EU, never looked back! One of the best banks I have ever used, simple but efficient app! Blocked account

Blocked my account on 29/7 for security reasons!! Not sure what was the security issue. They dont answer any e mails , phone calls get ignored. I have asked them several times to close my account and refund my money, Ignored. Surely there must be held accountable for keeping people's money!!! Scammers

Closed my account and now will not return my money. Been 2 months now and lost my home and in so much debt to friends so I could buy food. My emails get ignored. I call 4 times a day with no information. This company is happy to put people on the streets and I will make sure every social media platform is made aware of the scam. Get a generic response 'sorry to hear you having trouble and we cannot discuss on social media, call our office and get help. Nonsense. I call and get no help. Call backs are not returned. Two friends have learnt from my experience and the service provided and are closing their account before this happens to them. I have no money and cannot even afford my anti depressants. They freeze your account and can terminate without any notice. I have over £18,000 in the account and cannot reach it. It's a scam to take your money Do not fall for it because you will regret it. Check out other sites and you will read the reviews on how many customers money they have taken. Account closured without any warining

I am having an issue with Monese Bank account. They've blocked my account and card last Friday (27/06/19) with a non reasonable explanation. I was just informed by email that the account is being closed. After several phone calls to their support line I couldn't get any more information. I have in that account +-£2680 which they said I have to provide them with another account details that I own so they will transfer my funds but I didn't get yet any confirmation of this. Also, I was travelling on holidays and this situation caused me several issues (I had to transfer money from another accounts to have money available for me, I had to transfer money from my savings, my Standing Order to pay my letting agreement was not proceed, one direct debit was not possible to pay. I am now struggling to know when will my funds be returned to me. Reviewed on: 1st July 2019
