First contact was very reassuring as I was frightened due to a bailiff visiting my friends house demanding Over £400, or the Tv would be removed. I paid it reluctantly and contacted MW. MW were so caring and supportive in working out the best solution for me going forward. I was overwhelmed and stressed by all my debts with no steady income. I have multiple health and wellbeing issues which impact me greatly. However, Breathing Space was my life saver as it gave me time to decide on the next step and it stopped the creditors especially the doorstep ones for 60days and they had to stop harassing me. MW gave me lots of information on useful organisations to contact. They worked out my intermittent zero contract hours budget, ensuring I included realistic amounts to cover my household expenses. Moving to the Debt Relief Order application was a bit daunting as the rules you need to follow are clear and written in an understandable format, as well as the videos from MW were informative. I am happy to feel that I can now relax at night and sleep. I am no longer frightened of any letters coming through the letterbox. I know who and what they contain. I am relieved as some collection company had acquired a debt that was over 25years old and were trying to collect on it, but it is now in my DRO. I am 59 and would not have been able to pay any token amount. My application took 2 days once submitted by MW and it was accepted. My advisor who did the application with me was fantastic, knowledgeable and empathetic. A couple I had spoken to previously, lacked the above which affected my confidence.
