Review of the Moneyhub, App:

Simple, powerful, straightforward and affordable

5
I road-tested other finance apps too, including Emma, Plum, and Money Dashboard Neon, but Moneyhub was the one that ticked all the boxes. It has a clear, attractive layout and all the features I wanted. It shows pending transactions and lets you categorise and annotate them then and there, while they are fresh in your mind. You can rename transactions as well as add notes about them, and attach photos to them so you never lose an important receipt again. . You can customise the categories and subcategories you assign them to. The ‘inbox’ system lets you easily stay on top of your new transactions. Moneyhub is pretty good at intuiting which category to put them in but it’s easy to adjust them yourself. It’s easy to browse through your spending and income, with a powerful search function to find individual transactions or groups of them. ‘Transfers’ allow you to keep moving money (eg when you pay off your credit card from your current account) out of the way of your income and expenditure. ‘Projects’ offers a simple way to analyse spending and income thematically across a range of categories if you want to. You can easily export some or all of your transaction information and notes so as to work with it by spreadsheet or do small business accounts. You can use Moneyhub on multiple devices including a PC and logging in and out is a simple PIN, touch or Face ID,, or you can use 2-factor authentication if you prefer. I’ve been using Moneyhub for a month and know I will continue to do so. It’s inhibited me from unnecessary spending because I know I will come face to face with that purchase afterwards and have to admit that I made it! It’s so much easier to track expenses and transfers between friends and family when we buy things on each other’s behalf. The built-in help is clear and plentiful, but on the few occasions I’ve wanted an individual response it has come quickly. Moneyhub doesn’t go in for gamification of your finance, but it makes it simple and painless. To me, the neatness and elegance it does that with is the incentive I need to keep going. The display isn’t cluttered with cashback noise and other distractions. It just pleasantly supports you to do see what you’re doing with your money with fairly little effort on your part. Every function I’ve wanted, I’ve found. (And that wasn’t the case with the other apps I tried.) Moneyhub generously give you six months to try their system out, and the £10 or £15 annual charge after that is very reasonable, and easily covered by an impulse purchase you don’t make. I have a limited income which is likely to fall, but installing Moneyhub in my life gives me confidence that I will do the best job I can of managing my finances in the future. I’m not usually a gusher, but I truly think Moneyhub is superb and have already recommended it to a colleague and family member. I can’t think of a better candidate to win the British Bank Awards. Brilliant financial data aggregator

5
Functionality within the app is fantastic. Ability to aggregate my financial information in one place is a godsend. Other financial institutions need to catch up and more need to offer api access to customer data. Banks are great, but some pension providers (Aviva) need to be willing to support aggregation of data. Reviewed on: 16th February 2025

A bit clunky

The app is easy enough to use but could be better. It’s great value for money. Some of the features could be made more applicable to a greater range of scenarios eg being paid early throws off the month to month budget. Reviewed on: 15th February 2025

I'm currently using my first free months of moneyhub and it has honestly impressed me above and beyond what I expected. Nongimmicky easy money management tool, easy to manage all your accounts in one place as well. I've tried other apps like YNAB which is 10x more than the paid version of moneyhub and it was miles better. I've also tried snoop but that has a few issues as well even with the paid version. Moneyhub is just more easy to use, flexible and customisable. I've recommended to all my friends. Reviewed on: 15th February 2025

Best money manageent app out there

I tried several money management apps before settling on moneyhub. It offers the best functionality and value for money in my opinion. The flexible reporting and the volume of account connections it allows is brilliant. Reviewed on: 15th February 2025

Generally excellent

I’ve not needed to use customer service as I find it easy enough to navigate to everything I need without Support so far. The interface is very straightforward to engage with an apart from some difficulty in connecting with some financial platforms that I use which I would’ve thought would be major institutions to connect with on here, it’s otherwise a very useful resource.
