I have been with Monzo for quite sometime now, and physically can't fault them in any way possible. There budgeting features are very helpful, saving pots are easy to set up. Everything about the concept of Monzo Bank is just absolutely amazing. I honestly think Monzo definitely deserve recognition and win this award.

When I opened my HSBC account "online," I had to visit the branch 4 separate times, spend over two hours on the phone to them, and register three times for online banking. It took over two weeks. Then to get into their app took even longer - I had to wait for letters in the post, get in touch with customer services again, enter long winded usernames, passwords, passkeys each time.... And then when I lost my phone I needed to wait for another letter in the post.

Monzo, however, was a breeze - everything was done through their app, it took virtually no time at all. Logging in to their app is incredibly easy - no passwords or customer numbers to remember. Customer service is helpful, polite, quick to respond, and effective.

Great account

This is the best bank I have ever been with. It has so many useful tools and its notifications are brilliant. It shows you every time your card is used and adds up for you how much you ve spent that day so you never overspend because your not sure how...

This is the best bank I have ever been with. It has so many useful tools and its notifications are brilliant. It shows you every time your card is used and adds up for you how much you ve spent that day so you never overspend because your not sure how much you ve spent on your card. You can get paid a day early and I had a problem where sainsburys had charged me twice and they refunded my money back into my account immediately I didn't have to wait while they 'investigated it' . So far everything about this bank has been above and beyond what I've recieved from other accounts. I love my monzo account.

The app is handy to use, the card practically glows in the dark, and I've encountered no issues since joining a couple years back.
I currently use Monzo as a spending card/account, as i am keeping my traditional back account open to refine an existing credit score...and i am not sure that Monzo works with Clearscore etc at this stage.

Blocked account as with many others

I was using this place fine and was actually enjoying my experience until one day i woke up to a message saying my account was frozen for no absolute reason. I tried to ask why but was never ever replied to. I only used the account mainly for savings...

I was using this place fine and was actually enjoying my experience until one day i woke up to a message saying my account was frozen for no absolute reason. I tried to ask why but was never ever replied to. I only used the account mainly for savings and transferring to family because my traditional bank’s app was not letting me log in simply. But my issue is that even after I was frozen out I couldn’t access any funds at all and it also blocked my mother and girlfriend’s accounts which I had recommended them to get. Very poor customer experience

I have been with them 2018 I got this account because I loved the idea that you don’t pay anything to use your bank card abroad at all but you only get £200 a month to withdrawal and if you pass it you pay a fee that’s fine with me as I never get cash ...

I have been with them 2018 I got this account because I loved the idea that you don’t pay anything to use your bank card abroad at all but you only get £200 a month to withdrawal and if you pass it you pay a fee that’s fine with me as I never get cash out any ways but when I’m abroad sometimes I have to get cash out €200 for me is more then enough I all ways make sure I go where I can use my bank card it’s better for me and the customer service is outstanding standing I have not had any problems or issues at all with them so I can’t say anything bad about the bank

Oh Monzo, you're so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind! Go Monzo!

Monzo has truly been a breath of fresh air, and dramatic paradigm shift in the world of personal banking. In a few short years they’ve somehow embarrassed the heavyweights, many of whom have had an entire century’s lead in the market and through it billions of pounds at their disposal to fight with, and also shown up every fellow startup competitor in the ‘digital banking’ space who've simply not been able to keep up... despite their best efforts and a lorry load of VC capital burnt through.

I could list all the cool features they’ve rolled out in the past year, or how intuitive the mobile app is, or talk about my positive customer service experiences... but ultimately the concept is an easy sell: Monzo provide reliable, fair, and trustworthy services for your personal banking needs (…no other bank comes close!)

While the ‘traditional’ banks were busy repeatedly re-skinning their mobile applications in an effort to appear to be innovating (despite each iteration having the exact same feature set as the previous version!), Monzo were busy building a bank for today’s world — easy to use, packed with the features that actually help you manage your money day-to-day, and most importantly of all… a bank which has their customers' best interests at heart. If they make a mistake or something goes wrong, they own up to it and make it right.

Monzo has grown primarily via word of mouth. There have been no real gimmicks other than the famous 'Hot Coral' coloured card (which never fails to get a comment from shopkeepers!)

Folk shout about Monzo because they love how it's allowing them to keep better track of their money and want to share that experience with their friends and family. They certainly deserve all the success they’re receiving, and there’s no doubt in my mind they’re going to continue to kill it in the decade ahead!

…go, go, go Monzo!

The customer service team are intensely annoyingly smug and patronising. Further, I've had to waste time over and over again explaining what the issues are and feel I might as well be talking to children.
