A safe introduction to banking and how to manage money responsibly

Having used rooster for several months now I’d highly recommend it to other parents with young children, the app is versatile and user friendly for both adults and children, the platform doesn’t give an impression that someone else is controlling my children’s finances, in fact it’s the opposite mia is 10 and she has savings goals set, task and budgeting plans, whilst Ella who is slightly younger enjoys the jobs and rewards system and even encourages family members to use the app for gifts Reviewed on: 17th March 2023

Free unlike others

I got this card for my daughter to use on buses, outings with friends, personal shopping, buying mother's day present, birthday present and Xmas present. It has given her so much freedom, independent and maturity because she feels incharge. It has also given me peace of mind knowing that my child is not carrying around cash and also the opportunity for to be responsible with money.l also like the fact it reports each and every transaction which make me be aware how my child is spending Reviewed on: 17th March 2023

Simple and teaches the kids

I find rooster so easy to use and the kids find it very simple too. They really are learning to manage their own money Reviewed on: 17th March 2023

Excellent way of educating kids about money management safely

My girls have been able to earn money for helping round the house and have learned the value of their earnings. I can keep an eye on spending and manage their cards as needed. Lost cards have been easily locked and replaced. The cards also feel safer to carry than cash and they use the app to save and manage their money. Really happy with the Rooster set up and it’s excellent value as it’s linked to my NatWest account. Reviewed on: 17th March 2023

I like that it's simple to use, meets mine and my child's needs and I like that the child can have a version of the app which means they can keep up to date with it too Reviewed on: 17th March 2023

Natwest Rooster Accounts

I think Natwest Rooster Accounts are an absolutely brilliant way of teaching children the value of money. It also teaches them that it's ok to not spend every penny as soon as they have it. My two children aged 8yrs and 15yrs have both got an account and love that firstly they have their own accounts, secondly that they have their own contactless debit card that they can use pretty much everywhere aswell as online, and thirdly that they can keep an eye on how much they have in the app. I love the fact that my 15yr old daughter can't buy anything meant for an adult. I can pay my children for the chores they do into their account. They have a separate 'savings pot' they can transfer from yheir accounts into and there are extra things like they can earn stickers for specific things and once they reach a number of stickers (of your coice) they get a sum of money or a nice surprise of your choice. There's just more incentives for children to want to 'work' for their pocket money rather than just expect it. Just a brilliant all round idea and have recommended to friends and family already Reviewed on: 17th March 2023
