Great for kids, easy for parents

Rooster is great for our family. It helps our daughter understand better how to manage her money, gives the freedom and focus around what to spend money on and rewards additional chores when saving for a specific item. For us parents it's hassle free, reminds us to pay pocket money (!) and the link with basic chores means clothes get picked up off the floor at least once a week! I really like that you can split allowance across save and spend buckets and that the child can use their Rooster card to make payments online and in shops. The security is robust, but does sometimes mean declined contactless payments, which has caught us out a couple of times. All in all, it's been a brilliant first 'account' for our child and we'd certainly recommend Rooster to anyone who wants to manage pocket money in a structured and educational way. Fantastic initiation into managing money

The Rooster pocket money debit card has an accessible app for parent and child that I use daily. The Rooster card provides my son with independence and ownership of the money he has earned weekly completing his chores. The app ensures I know what and where my son is spending his money when he is out with his friends after school, this also lets me know he is being resilient and dealing with his money independently. My son is 11 and just started high school and this card has enabled him to go out and be confident with his friends, ensuring he has money for a treat or activity he would like to take part in. Overall, to initiate that first step to managing money, the rooster card is amazing for teaching children and young people how to earn, access and enjoy their money conscientiously. Great way to get the kids to start saving

I was struggled with rewards and giving the kids some pocket money. This brings both together, so I can manage my kids pocket money and combine it easily with rewards. Encouraging them to help around the house and to save at the same time. Reviewed on: 21st March 2021

Love Rooster

When my daughter turned 11 during the first lockdown it became apparent that the way forward with pocket money was no longer to be cash and more heavily to be via bank accounts and debit cards. I researched bank account offers and other similar companies and a friend recommended Rooster, as soon as I viewed the website information I knew it was the right step for my daughter to begin learning about and handling money. It all ties in with her chores at home, ease of use for us as parents (& grandparents wanting to top up pocket money). The apps are fantastic for both parents and children, we are a tech savvy family so quick and easy to use, I'm so glad my daughter is learning about saving and spending in a way that gives me transparency over her usage as it means I can also help support her as her knowledge of money and finances grows with her.
