Chores, pocket money, savings & a card - brilliant!

5
I use Rooster for both of my boys and they love having their own card and being able to save and I loved the ability to set up a booster pot to encourage them to save and I can give them my own interest rate. You can also set up chores to mark off for them to get their pocket money, set up a regular pocket money payment, or just make one-off payments. The kids can set up their own savings pots with their own savings goals which is fantastic too! Reviewed on: 3rd March 2026

Perfect for children’s first money experiences

My children love the app and find it very easy to use with the help of an adult. They love having their own card and the pin feature on the app is very handy. I really appreciate the NatWest customer offer - it is free for NatWest customers, which is fantastic. Reviewed on: 3rd March 2026

We’ve had a really positive experience with the Rooster Card from NatWest. It’s been incredibly easy to set up and use, and the app is clear and straightforward to manage as a parent. For our son, who has special needs and autism, it’s been such a confidence boost. The rewards feature is fantastic — being able to set tasks and reward him for completing chores or achieving something important has really motivated him and helped build his independence. He has used his card confidently in shops, which has made him feel proud, capable and grown-up. It’s been a brilliant tool for teaching money skills in a safe and supportive way. We’d highly recommend it to other families Reviewed on: 3rd March 2026

Rooster Money, the kids love love it.

Speaking mainly about Rooster Money, the kids love the experience of learning how to handle money. I do however have one child who is better than the other. My son is looking to open a student account with Nat West shortly and I can see my daughter going the same way. I pay a monthly fee but who doesn't!!! But the cashback offsets that.
