I got a Rooster card for my son and have since got one for my daughter. It allows me to help them manage their money through the savings pot and also to see what has been spent in the shops. Easy to use, am very happy. Reviewed on: 17th February 2026

Joined NatWest 25 years ago, now kids bank here too

I have been with NatWest since I can't remember (parents signed me up) and had my first card as part of my 13+ account. I am now 44 and still choose to bank with NatWest. Having free access to the Rooster app and associated cards for both children has been amazing - it's a really useful tool for transferring money to the kids, and my eldest loves the spend / save pots where she can split and move her money. The whole thing is very secure, and the ability to pause contactless after 5 transactions and access the PIN on the go (eldest has a memory like a goldfish) is really helpful. As a parent I like being able to see how much has been spent and where. Reviewed on: 17th February 2026
