Rooster bank account

5
Easy and uncomplicated experience when setting up first bank account for my son Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Motivation to spend wisely

5
Our granddaughter lives 400 miles away and the Rooster Card has been an excellent point of contact. She sees the weekly allowance going into her account and it is easy for us to reward her when she achieves a goal. In addition, we can see when she has withdrawn money and we can discuss how she spent it during our weekly calls. We believe the card has motivated her to spend wisely Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

All good.

All good. No concerns with using the app and my child has the independence and ability to save Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

We really like the Rooster Service

5
We get a discounted rate on rooster as an RBS customer. Cant fault any part if the service. Even when my kids forget pin numbers its easy to recover and very much self directed which I like. As a parent its easy to track spending and help the kids save. Extra bonus for all the family. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Great step into the financial world.

Our son set up his Rooster account last year and it has really changed the way he looks at money. It is a great tool to allow him to learn and understand the value of money. The fact I have an account for both personal and business a children's Rooster account was a no brainer so that all our finances can be controlled through he NatWest app. It is also no monthly charge for this reason. Our son loves logging into the app and seeing what he is spending and where. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

I was looking for an everyday account for my son.

I was looking for an everyday account for my son. He already has a Natwest First Saver held in trust so when I saw an ad for Rooster in the lead-up to Christmas I thought let's give them a whirl. The smile on my son's face when he held his own car is something I'll never forget. The parental tools as well give you the ability to monitor their financial habits and the pots make it easier for the kids to choose their own financial goals. There was a slight hiccup on the fees, but their customer service team were brilliant and resolved my matter within 24 hours, the matter was cause by me rather than them. Really satisfied with their service, tools and communication to date. Now looking for a Children's ISA to move his savings to. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

The online account is easy to use.

The online account is easy to use. To put money in, add it to savings or take it off. My daughter loves using her card and having the independence that it gives her. I like being able to see what she is spending her money on. And for it to be free to use, no subscription, that's the best. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Easy to use, parental control but independence for child Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Financial freedom for kids - but not too much!

5
The Rooster card gives my 12 year old son room to make his own financial decisions while still allowing parental overview. Having to generate a fresh CVV via the parent account for every purchase ensures he can't go far wrong! Reviewed on: 6th March 2026
