I have 2 children with rooster cards it’s great to reward them and keep them safe on what they are buying Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Useful and fun

All my three children (aged now 12, 15 and 16) have been using their Rooster cards for about 4 years now and they love it. For me, it was a godsend - easy to use, easy to track, and gibes them a sense of independence while teaching them about money in practice Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Safety whilst promoting independence

Safe to monitor children’s spending whilst giving them the opportunity to be independent and manage their money. Lots of features. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Flexible.

Card is free with my account. Manage twin rooster accounts for my 12 year olds. Moves money quick, to an from each account for various chores/purchases. The various pots allow them to put money aside so they can think about the value of saving/paying back. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

Used for my 12 year old son on a 6 week French school exchange. Easy to use amd top up when needed. Opted for the Rooster card as didn't want to use a current account. Fees are low but would prefer free. Reviewed on: 6th March 2026

A blessing in disguise

I like the independence rooster gives my daughter who’s neurodivergent as it learns her to feel in control without me & I like how I’m notified when she spends & that I can budget her spending, it’s also useful for pocket money from grandparents too, I also like the Apple Pay feature as she always misplaces her card so rooster can still be used in the case of emergencies, it gives me relief as a parent to an send child too that no discrimination is shown, which is such a big thing these days….thank you NatWest for such a genius idea & for giving my daughter a small gift of being independent which can be a huge struggle at times.
