Lola, our yorkie suddenly became ill.

Lola, our yorkie suddenly became ill. We took her to the vet and found out she had renal failure. She spent a few days in hospital without recovering. We made our very legitimate claim. We heard nothing for two months. We made contact. A couple of days later we received a terse to the point email informing us they wouldn't be paying the claim. Why? Because Lola had tooth plaque!! They said this could lead to renal failure. We then had to contact our veterinary surgeon to get them to write a letter informing them that this highly unlikely. Two days later we received payment of £650 out of a claim for £1800. They deducted money for medicines. They deducted for one off medical one use instruments. They even deducted over £300 for future payments. Yep. That's right. Lola died and we even had to pay off the rest of her payments for the remainder of the future contract!!. They are an utter disgrace. They will do ANYTHING not to pay out. Any loophole they will find. The quicker they are shut down the better. Ignore the ratings of 5 star. Those are the clients who have never had to make a claim. When you sign up they will immediately contact you and push you hard to leave a review. That's why their ratings are so high. Check the negatives not the highly rated. DONT DO IT. FIND A BETTER COMPANY. YOU WILL DEEPLY REGRET YOUR CHOICE. THEY ARE CHEAP FOR A REASON. Reviewed on: 27th September 2024
