Beware of out of hours vet fee caps!!!

I need to access out of hours vets with my dog, he had a non life threatening condition so they will only pay the first £35...because of this my claim was denied as that plus the medication meant it fell under the £90 excess. They don't use any discretion when making their decisions either, on the day my husband had been placed on life support and in an induced coma, I was managing that, two children and a sick dog...when I was at my absolute lowest point in life they have come along and kicked me. I was paying an insurance fee thinking I had the security blanket...it's just not the case...avoid at all costs, pay a bit more and opt for a more established company. Reviewed on: 17th October 2025

I can’t recommend Perfect Pet highly enough. Their monthly insurance cost is very competitive, offering excellent value for the level of cover provided. Throughout my time with them, their communication has been exceptional — they always kept me informed and up to date with my claim, and every interaction was friendly and caring. What really sets Perfect Pet apart is their personal touch. When I sadly lost my dog, they went above and beyond by sending me a bereavement card, which meant so much during such a difficult time. It’s rare to find a company that genuinely cares about its customers the way they do. Truly the best service I’ve experienced with any company — professional, compassionate, and completely reliable.
