Saving without realising

Fire and Forget Saving and Investing

This adds in small amounts from you bank account and "loose change" which over time builds up. I like to split the savings in to investments as it's money I'm not going to miss anyway. It has given me a savings buffer which I wouldn't have had anyway, I can't really fault it for what it is. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2021

Plum effortlessly turned me into an Investor (and saver)

Plum is awesome. I'm 38 years old and i've never had the discipline to save before even though I earn a decent salary and never go overdrawn etc. Having signed up to Plum 18 months ago, I managed to put by £2000+ without even noticing and this paid for a holiday for my family. It really is so simple - taking roundups and AI-targetted savings from my account but only what i can afford. If it takes too much and you need the money one month, just transfer it back - simples! Recently i also started investing too. My money is now split between Tech Giants, The Medic (Pharma) and a standard growth fund. I like the way you can decide on your risk but also that the funds are split over loads of companies in that sector meaning if one folds, you don't lose much. My only bug bear - it does take a week or so for the monney to appear in your investment. So you can't really 'play' the markets as such - however for longer term investments and to genuinley see you money grow, this still works well. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2021

Power up your savings with rounds ups

I'm terrible with money, I barely make it through each month in credit, and I knew my car's MOT was coming up, and it hasn't moved on nearly 10 months as I'd been working from home since.lockdown began. I started using plum in November and towards the end of January I had over £200 saved, and I had barely noticed the small deductions and round ups which were leaving my account each week. I'd have struggled to keep my car roadworthy if it wasn't for Plum and I look forward to seeing what else it can help me save for. It's so simple to use and the support is excellent and quick to respond to issues. I've just rejoined for the next quarter and will try to make ad-hoc payments as well as the regular deductions to save harder. Reviewed on: 1st February 2021

Fantastic hands-free saving

Plum is an excellent way to continuously save money, within your means, without having to worry about consistently manually diverting your income aside. It promotes and rewards saving with features such as ‘rainy day’ saving and the ‘52 week challenge’ and allows you to keep track of how your money is building up so you can see real progress. It’s investments feature also allows you to grow your savings with easy to understand, and diversified portfolios meaning your money is less at risk than jumping straight into a stock trading app. Reviewed on: 1st February 2021
