Dreadful insurance company

Discussed with south african handler re next years car insurance. They put it up so I said I would go elsewhere. They had already taken... Discussed with south african handler re next years car insurance. They put it up so I said I would go elsewhere. They had already taken the money for next year. I requested it back and they said did I want to cancel so I said yes. They then cancelled my current insurance with six days to go and are going to charge me for cancellation fee. I was only discussing next years insurance with them. I am 78 and had great difficulty understanding their accent. Have been with them for a few years and had no claims. Never, never, never again. They are now gaslighting me stating that I said to cancel. All their fault but trying to make it my fault. Avoid. Read more Read less

    Recognition for existing customers to be improved

    I renewed my insurance with them for ease, however expected a better rate considering no claims on the previous year

    Poor customer service.

    Poor customer service. Obviously not UK based as agent didn’t know what an MOT was. Difficult to understand South African? accent. Promises to resolve issue... Poor customer service.     I was with privilege insurance for over five years , then this year insurance increased by over £40 for home insurance previously it had increased...     Competitive quote.

    Privilege provided me with a competitive quote. It was reasonably easy to provide all the information they needed. I've not had to make a claim so can't comment on that.

    very quick and efficient, never had an issue with them, everything can be done online smoothly. definitely recommend for young drivers if you are struggling or getting insured
