Incorrect information

I came into the branch to change my regular saver that was about to mature and was informed I had to fill in a form which I did. Only to be told when I returned form it was not necessary and on top of that due to the delay the savings rate had reduced. Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

Lack of staff.

I had to wait far too long to be served in the bishops stortford branch because they did not have enough staff. The parking problem in stortford makes this very difficult. The staff,however, were as helpful as they could be. Please get more staff. Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

New Account: Monthly Income Bond

Opened a One Year Monthly Income Bond in Ware Branch and also on the Internet (since I mentioned I’m ok with online banking but also appreciate a bit of human contact too). Generally good service and polite, friendly staff. Found it’s hard to get through to the call centre - queue of 8 and it takes a long time to get to the front of the phone queue. Opening the account on the internet was straightforward. I send a couple of emails once I’d successfully managed to do that but I didn’t get any acknowledgements back. Overall pretty good service but not in the excellent category like one small building society I have dealings with. Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

Poor IT service

I had great difficulty in accessing my login Internet savings account after you updated your security system. Temporary passwords were not clear I.e. was the colon part of the password etc. It took six calls to your office to finally get into my account. On talking through the steps to put my own password in I was told it needed to have a number of characters one at least one Capital letter.., a number plus one other character that was not a letter or a number. I chose a percentage symbol . After repeated attempts your assistant kindly investigated and told me that a percentage symbol was not allowed. I changed it to an exclamations mark and it worked. I have spoken to a number of I T literate friends and they cannot believe what I have told them. Suggest you get another I T consultant. Reviewed on: 15th January 2024
