Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Exceptional price and cover.

Easy to use forms for car insurance with everything explained in easy to understand language. No hidden extras and what you see is what you pay. Excellent prices and much cheaper than anywhere else I could find for equivalent cover. Very pleased with the quote, which was more than £200 cheaper than last year (also with Saga), and more than £100 cheaper than the nearest quite from other insurance providers. Accepted the quote straight away, even though my insurance wasn't due for renewal for a month, just in case the price increased the nearer it got to my old insurance expiring.
