Terrible customer service

Rang to notify Saga that I have changed my address to a new house 2 miles down the road. I live in a rural area so I did not expect any changes to my policy. Instead I was told that my 3 year fixed premium would have to rise from £347 per year to £1077 per year!! When I asked why, the only explanation was this is what the system says. I asked if it sounded reasonable - and the only answer was this is common from time to time!! Clearly no understanding of the difference between usual and occasional, and no comprehension that this is a big jump and doesn't look right. Needless to say I cancelled the policy, and am now looking elsewhere. Reviewed on: 27th August 2026
